Als Fünfjähriger bin ich nach Thalwil gezogen. Für 16 Jahre war eine Wohnung auf dem Etzliberg mein Daheim. Heute lebe ich in Zürich. Wenn ich nach Thalwil komme, vermischen sich vertraute Erinnerungen mit Unbekanntem und Fremdem.
Mit der Videokamera habe ich mich nochmals auf den Weg gemacht und Orte besucht, die mir damals wichtig waren: die Waldhütte, unseren Treffpunkt am See oder meine geliebte Schlittelwiese, auf die jetzt eine Siedlung gebaut wird.

We moved to Thalwil when I was five. An apartment in Etzliberg was my home for 16 years. Today I live in Zurich. When I go to Thalwil my memories congeal into a mixture of the familiar and the unknown. Video camera in hand, I seek out the places that once were important to me: the cabins in the forest, a place we frequented at the lake or my favorite sledding slope, now the site of an apartment complex.
